I’m Belinda, the artist behind BelJay Art.
From my home in Tasmania, I create gentle watercolour artwork inspired by the wildlife, gardens and peaceful moments that make this part of the world feel so special.
My paintings are created with a love of storytelling, soft colour palettes and delicate detail — often inspired by curious little animals, country gardens and the beauty found in simple everyday scenes.
BelJay Art began as a creative outlet and slowly grew into a collection of artworks designed to bring warmth, calm and character into people’s homes.
Whether it’s a cheeky Tassie devil, a quiet cottage garden or a beloved local landscape, each piece is painted to feel comforting, nostalgic and full of personality.

Many of my paintings feature whimsical Tasmanian animal characters from Willowbrook Gardens, each with their own gentle personality and charm.
From Toby the Tassie Devil to Poppy the Pademelon and Elliot the Echidna, these little characters are designed to bring joy, warmth and a touch of storytelling into each artwork.
